| Q. Can you print a card that I have designed? |
| A. Yes, as long as it meets our printing specifications. |
| Q. What file formats do you accept? |
| A. You can send your digital file as .jpg, .tif, .eps, .psd, .pdf All files must be CMYK and 300 dpi. Resolution less than 300 dpi will reproduce poorly and the image will look fuzzy or pixilated. Images taken from websites are usually 72 dpi and should not be used for printing. |
| Q. What is bleed? |
| A. Bleed is when you take an image or background over the crop marks of a design, so that when it’s cut after being printed, the color image goes right to the edge. |
| Q. Is there a extra charge for bleed? |
| A. No. Due to a small shifting that may occur during cutting, we recommend that you don’t have a border. We will not guarantee that the border will be exactly the same size after the cards are cut. |
| Q. Can I request PMS colors? |
| A. PMS colors can only be requested on letterhead and envelope. Everything else is printed using 4-color process (CMYK) |
| Q. Is there a discount on quantity orders? |
| A. Yes. |
| Q. Do you keep my file on record? |
| A. Yes. |
| Q. Can I receive a printed proof? |
| A. No. We do not provide printed hard copy proofs due to the nature of gang run printing where slight color shifts may occur. However, we do provide online proofs of the design. |
| Q. Will I be able to approve a proof before they are printed? |
| A. Yes, all proof needs to be approved by the customer before it goes to print. |
| Q. How can I pay for my order? |
| A. Money orders, Checks, MasterCard, Visa. Note that all checks must be clear before we process your order. |
| Q. What is your way of shipment? |
| A. We ship via UPS. |
| Q. Can you ship to a P.O. Box? |
| A. No. UPS does not deliver to P.O. Box. We need a physical address. |
| Q. Is it possible to split the 1,000 into two parts? |
| A. No. |
| Q. What do you mean by (4/0), (4/1), (4/4)? |
A. 4/0 – full color on one side
4/1 – full color on one side, black & white on back
4/4 – full color on both sides |
| Q. Is there a set-up fee? |
| A. Yes. For all new orders there is a $75 fee. Set-up fees are not to be construed as graphic design, art charges, logo creations, etc. |
| Q. Is there a design charge? |
| A. Yes. All stock designs we charge $25 per side. Custom designs start at $75 per hour depending on the scope of the artwork. |
| Q. Does the set-up fee include artwork? |
| A. Simple basic artwork may be included. Any custom designs will be charged accordingly. Prism Creations will have all the rights to the artwork and NO ARTWORK WILL BE GIVEN TO ANY OTHER PARTY. |
| Q. Can I purchase the usage or exclusive rights to a custom or stock design? |
| A. Yes. Price depends on the scope of the artwork. |
| Q. How can I receive discounts on my order? |
| A. Receive a discount when you give us permission for a very small inscription to be printed on the lower back of your cards. Inscription will read: Printed by Prism Creations 808.306.7707 |
| Q. Can I have my original photos returned to me? |
| A. Yes. We will make every effort to protect your originals from damage. However, we cannot be responsible for the photos getting lost or damaged in transit. We prefer customers to scan and email any photos. |
| Q. What is the print turnaround time? |
| A. Depending on the quantity and our workload at the time the order is placed it’s normally 10-14 business days. Turnaround time may change. |

| A. Rush service is available depending on our workload. Please call Prism Creations representative. |
